Commonly known as jute, Corchorus Capsularis is a tropical plant from which this fibre is extracted. Together with cotton, these are the two most widely used natural fibres worldwide. There are different species that can be exploited to produce it, but Corchorus capsularis and Corchorus Olitorius are the most commonly used.
