Using jute to upholster cushions, sofas or any piece of household furniture is always very original and highly eco-friendly.
There is a wide variety of options for upholstering any part of the home with jute, but we must take three things into account.
Sacks are sewn in an L or U shape.
The weave can be single or double.
Sack printing.
This last point is the most important from an aesthetic point of view, as we can choose either logos or drawings printed on the sacks, or lettering indicating the origin of the coffee or cocoa. The most common origins are Panama, Guatemala, Honduras, Brazil, Vietnam and Angola.
There is a very simple way to remove any printing on the sack and leave it without letters or drawings: either turn the sack inside out so the print remains on the inside, or choose a more elaborate option by washing the sack in warm water so the ink fades.
